Aly Goni EXCLUSIVE Interview: Reveals Why He Is Missing From Yeh Hai Mohabbatein

Ye Hai Mohabbatein’s Romi Kumar Bhalla aka Aly Goni has a massive fan following. Hence, his absence has been highly missed by the audience of the show. However, the actor has now revealed the reason behind it. Fans will also see him facing his fears in Khatron Ke Khiladi 9 (to be aired starting January 5), an experience he will never forget. SpotboyE.com sat down for a chat with Aly. Excerpts:

What was your reaction when they approached you for Khatron Ke Khiladi 9?

I was the first one to get locked for this season. They approached me for the last season but I found it difficult to fight my fears of height and water then. But now, I thought that I should give it a shot.

What phobias have you overcome after this journey?
Almost all. Not 100% but I have come a long way. Insaan ka darr hi sabse bada darr hota hai, so once you get over that, everything automatically gets alright. 

What doesn’t scare you?
Speed. I love car racing and but don’t do it often. I find it adventurous and fun.

Which task was the scariest?
The one which involved bugs (keede). Yaar keede kisse pasand hain? I like snakes and animals in general so I was extremely friendly with them on the show, but dealing with bugs was next level. 

Which was the most memorable stunt?
All stunts were memorable for me. Even after so many months, I remember each and every moment. Stunts lasted a few months but the time we would take to convince ourselves to perform it still gives me goosebumps. It was an experience of a lifetime.

If not Rohit Shetty, who would have been the best host for the show?
I don't think anyone from the industry have managed to host this show as well as he has. Without his encouragement, no one could have attempted such daredevil stunts. 



Your bond with Jasmin Bhasin on the show is being discussed...
I have bonded well with everyone including Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa but everyone tends to get busy with work. In fact, Jasmine too has signed on a new show and I don’t know how often we would be able to meet. I have taken a break for a month.

Have you quit Yeh Hai Mohabbatein?
I have taken a break from the show. Even after finishing the shoot of Khatron Ke Khiladi 9 in Argentina, I was constantly working. In Yeh Hai Mohabbatien my track was on and simultaneously I began shooting for Naagin 3. Now, my track has wrapped up, hence, I decided to take a break. I am going Kashmir to meet my family and friends. After coming back, there are a few projects lined up. Let’s see.

Your comments and opinions on Bigg Boss are being missed on social media...
I am watching this season but I don’t know what to say on social media. Last year, my friend Vikas Gupta was a participant so I used to write for him. But now, I have realised it’s better to stay out of it. Likho kuch aur ho kuch aur jaata hai.

Are you rooting for Sreesanth to win Bigg Boss 12?
He is a friend. And he is exactly the way he is being seen inside the show. If people are feeling he is fake, it’s not right. He is short-tempered and can cry and laugh in a matter of minutes. He cracks a joke sometimes without even realising the consequences. But all in all, he is a clean-hearted person. 

Who do you think will take the trophy home?

Dipika Kakar or Sreesanth.
